We're Building What
Silicon Valley Can't

PlotWeaver exists because 1 billion+ Africans shouldn't have to choose between consuming content in their mother tongue and accessing global stories. We're building the AI infrastructure that makes African languages first-class citizens in the digital age.

Our Mission:
Make African Stories Accessible to Every African

For too long, African storytelling has been constrained by language barriers. A Yoruba speaker in Lagos can't enjoy a Swahili film from Nairobi. An Igbo grandmother misses out on Hausa dramas. Global content arrives dubbed in European languages, but not in African ones.

This isn't a technology problem, it's a priorities problem. Silicon Valley optimizes for billion-user markets, not the linguistic diversity that makes Africa culturally rich but economically fragmented.

PlotWeaver is the infrastructure layer that changes this. We're not just building dubbing software, we're creating the Language OS that makes African languages economically viable for content creators, culturally preserved for future generations, and accessible to everyone.

Why This Problem,
Why Now, Why Us

Wole Fagbohun

Founder & CEO

Wole founded PlotWeaver after witnessing his grandmother struggle to find Nigerian content in Yoruba on streaming platforms. Despite being in the heart of Nollywood country, the majority of content available was either in English or dubbed into European languages, but rarely in the language she spoke most fluently.

"I realized we were building the wrong tools. Everyone focused on English-to-everything translation, when what Africa needed was everything-to-African-languages infrastructure. The market exists, 1 billion+ people. The technology is possible. What was missing was someone willing to prioritize cultural preservation over pure scale."

Before PlotWeaver, Wole was VP of Data Science at multiple fintech and proptech startups, where he built ML systems serving millions of users. He's the author of "Mastering AI Agents" and holds expertise in multi-agent systems and language AI. His experience spans civic tech, real estate platforms, and financial services, but PlotWeaver represents his most personal mission.

Wole assembled a team of AI researchers, linguists, and filmmakers who shared a common belief: that technology should preserve culture, not erase it. PlotWeaver is the result of that conviction, infrastructure built by Africans, for Africans, that happens to be commercially viable globally.

What Guides Every Decision We Make

Hours of Speech Data

Technology should preserve and amplify cultural diversity, not homogenize it. We measure success by linguistic preservation, not just user growth.

Radical Transparency

We build in public, share our research, and open-source portions of our datasets. The mission is bigger than any single company.

Velocity Over Perfection

African content creators need tools now, not in 5 years. We ship fast, iterate based on real usage, and improve relentlessly.

Collaboration Over Competition

We partner with universities, studios, and even competitors when it advances African language AI. The ecosystem grows when we all succeed.

Data-Driven Empathy

We combine quantitative rigor with deep cultural understanding. Numbers inform decisions, but lived experiences guide our mission.

Long-Term Thinking

We're building infrastructure that will serve African languages for decades. Quarterly metrics matter less than generational impact.
